Must Check Out: The Burning Wind - S/T (Review)

Thursday, April 5, 2018

I must say I love doing what I do! Here at WWU you never know what you are gonna wake up to as far as Submitted music. Today I drank my coffee to The Burning Wind of N. Carolina. This band completely blew me away. If there was a downside to the experience, It left me pissed the fuck off at the world. Joking, Their release is fucking amazing. Overall has a hardcore vibe, mixing some math-ish/Metalcore feels and maybe a bit of grind, is the best way I could explain this to a genre junkie. Their First track Occam's Razor is a blast to the face, right off the bat I knew I was going to love this band. Surly the following tracks were not a let-down. Tax Evasion, any Norma Jean fan can appreciate. String of Curses is more of hardcore, almost beatdown track that will tear walls down at any venue across the map. They label themselves Experimental Hardcore which truly comes to light in their last track, Canines. This is where to me it sounds mathcore-ish and I mainly mean just the overall feel of the track. I can not wait to see what's in the future for this band, and hope they tour up to NJ sometime soon. Their shows have to be WILD, just the music alone brings be back the glory days of the early/mid 2000's.

Bottom Line: Just check these peeps out all tracks are a little unique so you have to give them a solid run through, but I can tell you I  could list about 100 bands for a "For Fans Of".

Standout Track:
Sting of CursesCanines
Rating:  8.5/10
