Melbourne Australia's own hardcore heavyweights CROWNED KINGS have been tearing it up since 2010. Their new LP Sea OF Misery, is set to hit streets at the end of March. As a follow up to 2014's Forked Road, Sea Of Misery takes this band to the next level. Produced by Nick Jett (Terror, Piece By Piece) this record has groovy ass riffs for days. Combined with catchy hooks that will be stuck in your head for days, the epic singalongs throughout the entire album, its energy is undeniable. It's no secret that CROWNED KINGS are heavily influenced by bands such as Slayer and Pantera and Sea Of Misery has an uncanny Perseverance era Hatebreed feel to it.
BOTTOM LINE: Sea Of Misery is an absolute banger from front to back. It has an undeniable energy that doesn't let up until the last cord. CROWNED KINGS have climbed to the top of my list of Down-under hardcore bands with this LP. Sea of Misery will be available on March 23 via Demons Run Amok.
