Cold Hard Truth proves with their latest release that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. In a time when beatdown bands are just starting to pay attention to post-production, CHT have it down-fucking-pat. With Hip-Hop influences mixed in to songs like, "Ghetto Romance", and the brutality of the Intro, "The Fallen", it's evident. The use of samples and other effects used throughout, gives a fuller more hefty sound to the already 10-ton sack of vipers that this five-piece releases.
Walking in a store or driving while listening to this album may result in severe injury. Whether it's because you snuff your steering wheel and set off your airbag, or crush a strangers head with your shoes at a supermarket, this album creates that inherent risk.
I can't speak for the future of Cold Hard Truth, but i can speak on the present, and it is aggressive, hateful, and unforgiving.
